Cowboy

Back when I was in my last year of school I came up with this design for an old disgruntled cowboy who has seen a few too many winters.  As I'm trying to get into digital painting a little bit more I thought it would be fun to give him a try.  Over all I kind of screwed up my layering, and worked mainly with the cowboy first, neglecting the background until later.  I wasn't too pleased with how the background and Cowboy came together.  To me it feels too disconnected.  Next time I'll think about doing the BG colour first, or, working the background and figure at the same time for more of a unified look.
