Life Drawings

Some of my life drawing since I've been out of school.  Believe me when I say I want to get back at it.  It's just been tough to find a place to do it up in Soutffville.  Hopefully  I'll be able to join the gallery group again when they start up their next session, and sneak back into Seneca when I can.

Duck Painting

So I finally did a bunch of scanning last night and decided to sit down today and start coloring this image.  I had a lot of fun doing this and ended up working until I finished it up.  This is again for my Ducks in Planes idea, but instead of sticking to the old photograph look I decided to do some actual colour.  I will say that I am enjoying photoshop a lot more and look forward to making more images using the program.

Still Life Painting

This is the first painting I've done in about a year now.  I normally spend about a few hours a day over about a week on a still life with a set light source, but for this painting I spent about two hours on it and painted outside.  It was a lot of fun, and a great experience.  Hopefully I don't wait another year to do another painting.

Ducks in Planes 2

I've slowly been puttering away at this in Photoshop.  I'm not the biggest fan, but after finding out how to change my brush around, I've slightly changed my mind about the program.  I still prefer real paints but anyway, here's my colour version for my Ducks in Planes.  I wanted it to have an old worn out photograph feel to it.  I may play around with some more colours in it and see what happens.  Enjoy!

Zombie Slayer

Now a days, I feel like everyone's got some sort of zombie related idea, but nevertheless, there's nothing I like more than killing zombies.  This is the hero for a graphic novel idea I've been pondering since last Superbowl.  I want the characters and designs to be similar to the Metal Slug video game series.  This is the design I settled on for the hero of the book.  More zombie stuff to follow.

Zoo Drawings

A few  drawings I did while on a trip to the zoo.  The little monkeys were tons of fun but moved super fast.  It was tough trying to capture them jumping around, but once I focused in, I was alright.  Hope you like them!

Ducks Flying Planes

I've slowly been developing the look for one of my graphic novel ideas.  Here's one of the first drawings I've done for it so far.  I've also got a few expressions for what will probably be the main character of my story.  Enjoy!

A little Tennis

While I was watching Wimbeldon I ended up doing some quick thumbnails of one of the tennis matches.  What was going to just be a tennis serve became a little bit of a rally. I'm hoping to get on the cleanup for this one sometime soon.

A fun little Animation.

I had a lot of fun on this one.  It will eventually fit into my demo reel.  I'm just waiting to get the SFX mixed into it.

Finished Render

Here's my finished, rendered animation.  I made a few  fixes here and there and ultimately I think it came out stronger than the first playblast.  Hope you like it.

Sledding Dinos!

I don't know about you, but I think given the right circumstances, Dinosaurs would have loved the Ice Age!

Brewing Ideas

This is one of the first drawings I've done so far of one of the three comic book ideas I have.  I'm hoping to get a little colour on it soon, give it a bit of an old photograph feel.

Animation Work in Progress

This is an acting sequence I've been working on off and on since I got out of school.
Hope you enjoy it!

Dancers

These are some of the drawings I did this year while sitting in on a 4th year Ballet class at York U.  Thank you to Jenn and all the dancers who accepted me into the class so I could continue to improve as an artist.  All of you girls are incredible dancers and I wish you nothing but good luck in your future!
